Low / Zero Carbon Design

Sustainable, LZC (low/zero carbon) buildings respond to their local environment. HLM Environment utilises micro-climate analysis to identify both the beneficial and the constraining aspects of the site, its topology and its surroundings, informing the response of the building form to external factors. We carry out a full analysis of the anticipated occupancy levels, hours of use and flow patterns, zoning and environmental needs to inform the internal space planning, building form and the service strategies.
