The firm’s Cardiff studio has been appointed to deliver building and landscape architecture and interior design for the Enderby Wharf project which will create 770 riverside homes for the Royal Borough of Greenwich as well as providing an education facility, BREEAM standard commercial facilities, a cruise line terminal and pier and a 251 bedroom hotel.
HLM in Cardiff has also been appointed to design the Willowfield Humanities College, an £18m secondary school project in Waltham Forest in London, which will accommodate 900 sixth form pupils.
The studio has already doubled in size in the past 12 months bringing the headcount to 23 members of staff; the two most recent contracts will further boost numbers and allow the firm to continue to build on existing work as well as engage with new clients.
Jonathan Jones, associate director of HLM in Cardiff, said: “Current economic conditions have generated an increase in developer activity and as a result we are enjoying a period of growth in our Cardiff studio.
“Our expansion will serve to benefit our existing and new clients as we develop our expertise and deliver the quality that our clients have come to expect from the practice.”
