HLM was a finalist for Architectural Practice of the Year in the Building Awards, the construction industry’s longest running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the sector.

HLM is a 150-strong architectural practice working internationally across the private and public sector.

The judges commented: “HLM were involved in creating the UK’s first Architecture Apprenticeship Standards, collaborating with the RIBA, the Architects Registration Board and 12 UK universities. It has an in-house method for project reviews, carried out at key milestones.”

Karen Mosley, Managing Director at HLM, said: “Earlier this year, we announced a new board structure, creating more opportunities for some of our most experienced team members and rising stars across the country, to lead the practice and drive future growth. Being recognised by this award comes at an exciting time – we have boundless energy, big ambitions for the future and are focused on the development of our practice.”

HLM was also ranked a top 10 employer by the Building Good Employer Guide 2018 and a finalist for Good Employer of the Year.
