As part of its drive to position itself as a leader in delivering sustainable solutions and the launch of interactive, technological portal OnePlace, HLM has undertaken a full re-write of its Quality (ISO 9001) and Environmental Management (ISO 14001) procedures to meet the new 2015 ISO Standards.
After a thorough audit by HLM’s Certification Body CCAS, HLM can now claim to be one of the first companies in the UK to complete the transition to these new ISO Standards, introduced in September 2015. Within the audit process, HLM also submitted new procedures for Health and Safety (OHSAS 18001), seeking accreditation for the first time.
HLM took last year’s change in Standards as the perfect opportunity to review and overhaul all of its systems and processes by being early adopters of the new Standards. The aim is to demonstrate to employees, clients and partners the value placed on generating high quality environments, both externally on all projects, and internally within the organisation.
Working with a small team internally, HLM appointed the services of Equas to assist them with the project. The first phase, Job Management went live for all new projects in March 2016 with the remaining elements delivered progressively to meet the requirements of the new Standards by April this year.
HLM now plans to roll out the QEMS across all Group companies before the end of the year using ONEPlace.
