Karen Mosley has been shortlisted for the Woman of the Year in the Building Magazine Awards, the construction industry’s longest running and most prestigious recognition of excellence.
Karen joined HLM as a school-leaver at the age of 17 and has most recently been appointed to the position of Managing Director.
HLM has an impressive gender balance for the construction industry, with almost half of all professional staff being female. Karen’s commitment to the development of others led her to design the HLM Academy, a personal and professional development programme, which has inspired and encouraged employees to progress within the practice, leading to impressive staff retention rates across the country.
Her contributions have also been recognised through significant awards for HLM such as Best Companies to Work For and being voted by staff as one of the Top 50 Good Employers.
The Awards consider how individuals have contributed to the overall success of their business and the ways in which they have acted as role models and helped to promote construction as a viable career to others.
The winner will be revealed on 7th November at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
