Caroline Buckingham
Director
Caroline joined HLM in 1987 and heads up Education in the UK and Internationally. She provides hands-on leadership, strategic vision and communication skills, sharing knowledge and design excellence from across the industry. Caroline's focus has been on developing best practice, expertise and business in planning and designing schools, colleges and universities. She is herself an advisor to local authorities on their schools' building and refurbishment programmes. She regularly speaks at conferences and publishes articles in professional, trade and sector journals on improving design and procurement so as to enhance innovation, technological integration and more effective environments.
Caroline is an active member of the RIBA and is a qualified DQI Facilitator. Her architectural design work has in recent times focussed on complex projects and is now using her broad base of design, people and business skills working as the education design lead on a large scale university project in the Middle East.
