David Minnis
Associate Director
Since joining HLM in 1999, David has been involved in a wide range of new build and refurbishment projects for the arts, commercial, education, defence and healthcare sectors, with contract values from £1m to £130m. His roles, in addition to his responsibility as Associate Director, have included designer, project architect and project team leader on projects procured under a broad range of contracts including D&B, ProCure 21, PFI, and two-stage tendering.
Following leadership roles on a £30m maternity unit at Poole Hospital and a £7m sustainable commercial development in Guildford, David's most recent hands-on work has been as project architect for the £9m boarding house masterplan at Queen Anne's School in Caversham.
David's understanding of design and user processes, plus his technical knowledge and management capabilities, enable him and his design teams to develop buildings which respond successfully to the strategic needs and aspirations of the client as well as the operational needs of the end-users.
