Defence Training College

HLM is currently an integral part of a consortium providing Executive Architect and landscape architecture services for the preparation of a major MOD Defence Training Campus in South Wales.  Working closely with, amongst others, Scott Brownrigg, Capita, ENTEC and Davis Langdon, HLM is driving the landscape design for the proposed site which is proposed to house over 10,000 personnel training with the RAF, Army and Navy. This project, whilst currently on hold, is of national significance with major regional socio-economic implications.

The extensive site will host the full scope of defence training and house young recruits to senior officers. In order to create a world class facility the landscape and masterplan layout of the site is seen as crucial to the campus' success. The scheme incorporates formal gardens and avenues, landscaped courtyards, a major environmental habitat corridor and numerous sports facilities
