Project SLAM

HLM are Design Cluster Leaders for Project SLAM - the MOD Single Living Accommodation Modernisation programme Prime Contract project. The Architectural Design Cluster also includes Aedas TCN Architects who were responsible for the development of the Model Standard Project, Aukett Europe, CRGP and the Parr Partnership.

Project SLAM is one of the largest new build and refurbishment projects in the UK worth £1 billion over ten years.  The proposed build programme includes over 100 separate projects - both new build and refurbishment - on a variety of Army, Navy and RAF establishments across England and Wales.

Construction started in 2003 and involves the upgrade of over 16,0000 beds in the first phase, together with the provision of utility and living areas and ancillary accommodation for services personnel across the country.
