Project SLAM - Hounslow Barracks

The proposed works, a mix of new and refurbished buildings, will provide new Single Living Accommodation (SLA) at Hounslow Barracks for a Guards Battalion that will be relocating from Wellington Barracks as part of the rationalisation of accommodation throughout the London area by the British Army and Defence Estates.  The proposed accommodation for all ranks, will provide 500 en-suite rooms, in new purpose built and refurbished listed buildings, including the Hardinge Block and the Officer's Mess.

Given the proximity of the Hardinge Block, and other buildings of note on the site, the external treatment to the new blocks has been deliberately chosen to ensure a visual consistency in terms of materials and details used.
