Wood View Learning Community - Primary

Wood View Learning Community is a shared facility that brings together a range of Plymouth schools with a single vision; one of increased educational coordination and cohesion within a continuous educational environment, greater social inclusion and understanding between schoolchildren of all ages, as well as an enhanced learning environment.

The schools on the campus are Whitleigh Community Primary School, Woodlands Special School and Sir John Hunt Community Sports College. Added to that already diverse range of users are the Wise Owls Nursery and Whitleigh Children's Centre with the Centre for Young Parents. These educational establishments, catering from children from nursery age to school-leavers and including a special needs school for severely disabled children and a centre dedicated to supporting parents themselves still in school, have been brought together in an integrated campus. All pupils have the added benefit of sharing communal facilities such as the dining, library, sports halls, performing arts, and specialist subject spaces.
