Chilton Trinity Technology College is a 1,050-place secondary school and community leisure facility, and forms part of the Building Schools for the Future scheme. HLM designed the sample school for the Sir Robert McAlpine-led Aura consortium. The project design was informed by the need for a single-phase construction working around an existing 1960s CLASP school, which will be demolished on completion and a landscaped forecourt created.

The design has been developed in consultation with the school and other stakeholders to create a ‘learning arc' around which the core functions are arranged, with an inspiring and inviting entrance forming the heart of the school. The design also incorporates the need for flexibility and agility achieved through the federation clusters design with ‘every space being a learning space'.
