Hartridge High School

Hartridge is the second of HLM's new school designs for Newport City Council. Newport High School was completed in 2010 with a BREEAM Excellent rating and a huge increase in pupil applications. HLM is applying the same principles of innovative, sustainable design to Hartridge, where we've been appointed to provide architectural, interior and landscape design services for a new build school for 1,450 students.

When complete, the school will have two teaching wings attached to a central atrium, gentle curves and a fully glazed façade to create a sense of security and a welcome arrival. Natural daylight and ventilation, without compromising internal acoustic qualities, are just two of the environmentally friendly features we've incorporated into our design.
