Wood View Learning Community SEN

Wood View Learning Community is a place of care incorporating an SEN school educating pupils with a range of physical disabilities. Their needs are precise, and included residential facilities. We incorporated an electric track, room layouts are larger, and overhead hoist systems make access easier in bathrooms equipped with shower trolleys and wide baths. The residential facility walls are fitted with pipes to feed additional oxygen, and the building also hosts hydrotherapy, sensory, soft play and physiotherapy rooms. So every pupil, between 3 and 16 years old and including those who might need tube-feeding, dines in the forum - at the heart of the campus.

Kay O'Shaughnessy, whose 10-year-old daughter uses the centre for respite care, called the school a 'life-saver', saying: "It has fantastic facilities, much better than the old school, particular for those who have profound needs.
