Refurbishment and upgrade of existing services for the Children's Ward and Outpatients with a new extension of single bedrooms and ancillary services.

The design of the interior spaces within the department have been considered such that they have become pleasant spaces with carefully designed fittings and fixtures and have the benefit of good natural lighting and supplementary artificial lighting.

The new extension has developed as a direct response to the interior function of the single rooms, based behind a feature and stone wall on the more private side away from the courtyard. Coping stones on the parapet match the existing concrete beam details. The new service rooms, assisted WC, dirty utility, treatment room and day room take up the courtyard side of the extension and are easily accessible from both wards. The nurse bases are ideally located at each junction with very good supervision of the whole department.
