Defence Sixth Form College

Relocation of Welbeck College in Worksop to build accommodation outside Loughborough. The scheme involved all aspects of boarding school accommodation including residential facilities, social and administration buildings and teaching areas specialising in technology.

The design builds on the history and ethos of the College to create a modern campus. Contemporary interiors were based on the use of natural light, creating a sense of space, use of robust materials and colours. This design approach brings together the principles of environmental design with the brief requirements to provide an elite educational establishment, through a sensitive response to the prevailing site characteristics.
