HMP Bronzefield

HLM, working in conjunction with UKDS, Interserve Strategic Projects and Ove Arup Engineers, have produced a design for a Women's Prison for Ashford near Staines. Housing 450 prisoners through various security categories, including Category A.

The design has particularly been developed to encompass the different demands required in a women's prison through careful considerations of scale, detail, finish and interior design. The main support facilities are grouped around an internal circulation street or winter garden, and the layout incorporates important landscape design elements to enhance the functioning and environment of the prison.
