HLM were involved in the regeneration of the Jessop/Portobello area, major redevelopment of the Western Bank South area including new student services/University reception facility adjacent to the Supertram stop and hotel facilities adjacent to the Octagon Centre.

HLM's design looked to enhance the Western Bank North area through more effective use of Western Park as a backdrop to the main University buildings, including additional development bordering Winter Street, including the St George's Hospital site for the Nursing School. A new major sporting complex for joint University/community use on the site of the pre-existing Goodwin Sports Centre. Modest redevelopment in the Claremont area in keeping with character and conservation status, for activities associated with the Medical School and/or commercial and administrative units.
