Royal Hospital for Sick Children & Department of Clinical Neurosciences, Edinburgh

The new facility will bring together two distinct services of the Children and Young People's Hospital, including mental health services for children and adolescents and the Department of Clinical Neurosciences (DCN) for adults.

This new building will help further promote Scotland as a country that treats all who require to access health services fairly and equally. Full integration of the CAMHS services within the RHSC will also reduce the stigma often associated with mental health.

Through three distinct elements that reflect and respond to the Clinical Brief, the design is simplified in to three basic elements. The design aims to create an inclusive environment for young and more senior citizens with all types of physical and cognitive ability.
